Art history is a faculty that deals with the study of art, in terms of its historical background and stylistic features! The study is further divided into various sub categories such as design, format, genre etc. Art history generally deals with the research work that goes inside the study of various historical utilities as well as their overall contribution at a social level. It involves the analysis, exploration and deep estimation of the work of art and architecture. There is no particular definition as far as the explanation of art history is concerned as it is geared up with a world in itself. As such, the term is divided into three main categories. They are: the connoisseurs, the critics, and the art historians.
Not many people are aware of this study as it is a relatively new concept that commenced in the nineteenth century. Now a lot of people are getting indulged in the study and the number is growing at a faster pace with passage of time. They mostly rely on the portability of the written content to know further about the historical entities. With the advancement of certain studies like psychoanalysis and iconography, it has become relatively easier for the researchers to gain a better insight on their favorite topics.
