The Performing Arts comes under the category of one of the many facets of 'arts.' It deals with facial expressions, body and presence of the artist as a medium. An expressionless face has no importance in this field. At the same time, your body movement and postures define your overall performance in the best way possible. So it becomes very important for all those artists who are interested in this genre to refine their presence on stage perfectly. This genre of art was first discovered in the English language in the year 1711.

Various aspects combine together to add charm to this field, some of them are: dance, music, opera, theater, and circus arts. “Performers” is the name that is given to the artists who perform this art on stage. These include the main actors (side actors as well), comedians, dancers (solo and group), artists, singers (solo and chorus) and musicians. That does not mean that people who perform on stage are the ones who are termed as performers. There are thousands of other individuals who don't even come in the scene but play a very important role in making the show a success. These are the backstage artists. Without them, the show remains incomplete.
