The process of casting and moulding hold a strong inter connection with each other. The process of casting is more than 6000 years old. It is a manufacturing process, where a liquid material is poured into a mould (basically a hollow cavity) and then allowed to dry out to form a solid. The solidified part is also known as a casting, which after the completion of the drying process, is ejected or broken out of the mold to further usage.

It is said that the materials that are used in this process are mainly metals (and sometimes those cold setting materials as well). Some of the examples of the materials are: epoxy, concrete, plaster and clay. Casting is entirely different as compared to those conventional methods that are used for shaping the entities. In this case, the shapes are a lot more complexed, because it is difficult to achieve these complex shapes from other methods. Expendable and non-expendable mold castings are the two main subgroups of this particular process. Here, in this section, we will provide you with all the resources that are related with the process of Casting.
